Cheat sheet for cold/flu/covid season from your friendly Kitchen Witch 🔮🌿

Cold, Flu, & Covid season is upon us…I am creating a Winter Wellness course as we speak but I didn’t want to wait to share this information because it can only help you stay healthy if you have the info now :)

Let me start by saying none of this should be taken as medical advice…please talk to your trusted health care practitioner before starting any protocols.

There is SO much to be covered on this topic but here are the highlights and here is essentially my ‘emergency’ kit of staying well during these seasons.

🌿A good multivitamin (look for ones with methylcobalamin & methylfolate) A few good brands to check out are Gaia, Thorne, Pure Encapsulations, NOW (if you’re on a budget)
🌿Check your Vitamin D levels and supplement accordingly…most people need a bare minimum of 2000 IU’s daily. Optimum Vitamin D levels are highly debated but on the safe side we can shoot for healthy levels around 50 ng/ml (this is something to work with a practitioner on)
🌿Elderberry Syrup & Fire Cider are both great to have on a daily basis…about 1-2 Tbsp a day does wonders for your immune system (check out @pranahousewc)
🌿Oil of Oregano is one of nature’s best antibiotics and is great to take either before you are going to be around a lot of people or as soon as you feel something weird happening…scratchy throat, stuffy nose, abnormal fatigue, etc. I usually recommend taking 2-3 capsules 2-3x a day until symptoms subside
🌿NAC is a precursor for Glutathione and one of the body’s most powerful antioxidants and plays a tremendous role in the ability of our liver to detoxify our body…this is something that can be taken daily (for most people - talk to your health care practitioner). For cold, flu, & covid, especially if you’re having trouble getting better, I usually recommend taking 600 mg 2-3x a day until symptoms subside.

We will be going into much more depth soon, but please use this little cheat sheet as needed. Also remember the basics like getting plenty of sleep, water, and sunlight…oh yeah and make sure to PLAY…nothing makes us feel better than playtime!!

Thank you for being here and looking forward to sharing more.

From my heart to yours,
