Black Mother of Pearl is a variety of the beloved Mother of Pearl, which is created over time by alternating layers of aragonite hexagonal plates bonded with conchiolin, which makes it resilient and strong. This variety in particular is believed to have an additional protective element due to its the darker hues, Like many other stones and crystals that are black and even dark grey in color, the Black variety of Mother of Pearl is believed to have strong protective energies that can inspire a sense of groundedness. 

Black Mother of Pearl reminds us that the Divine Feminine is not only wise, but can be perceived as mysterious when She is transmuting pain into strength and sorrow into surrender. She reminds us that we too can find grace and flow when we intentionally set boundaries and take time to check in on how we are feeling and how we can best serve ourselves. These Black Mother of Pearl discs are so gorgeous at about 2" long, suspended from gold plated stainless steel earring hooks with included shiny lightning bolt charms. 

When working with stones, it is important to "clear" their energy as they can absorb a lot of energy and will not be as effective. The easiest way to clear the stones on these necklaces is to let them sit in direct sunlight for a few hours or even a few days depending on how much toxicity you've been around.
