Ashwagandha…I could write a whole book on this plant and I will be diving deeper into all of it’s incredible properties in the near future, but for now, I just wanted to pass along how I am currently using it for anyone who is interested and can benefit.
🌿 Ashwagandha is an incredibly powerful adaptogen and immunomodulator, essentially it excels at calibrating your stress responses and also your immune responses (because they are inextricably intertwined).
🥵 If you are on the brink of burnout or have long passed that checkpoint…Ashwagandha may be a super friend to your HPA axis (your stress response) right now.
🤗 Ashwagandha is also excellent for relieving anxiety, chronic fatigue syndrome, insomnia, pains associated with fibromyalgia & osteoarthritis, those with thyroid conditions, infertility, and has been shown to have cytotoxic effects on tumors; meaning potentially effective for treating cancer (more studies are being conducted on this all the time).
🌿 The brand I’m showing here is Herb Pharm @herbpharm and the other brand I really love for Ashwagandha (and for most plant medicines) is GAIA @gaiaherbs. There are a bunch of excellent brands out there, these are just the ones that I really love for Ashwagandha in particular.
👂When getting into plant medicine, it’s really important to listen to how your body responds when learning about plants. Allow the resonance to guide you towards the medicine you need…this is true for all things but especially for plant medicine.
